In 2026, when AI can turn a prompt into a working prototype, we’re building a WordPress engineering studio.
That decision deserves an explanation.
We started as FluentWiz, helping businesses get more out of the Fluent ecosystem. We extended plugins, connected tools, and built solutions around the way our clients worked.
As those projects grew, we found ourselves working across more of WordPress: custom development, e-commerce, third-party integrations, data migration, and business workflows. We also began developing products of our own.
The name FluentWiz described our starting point. ScalarWP gives us room to build what comes next.
But this change is about more than choosing a broader name. It reflects what we’ve learned from client work—and what we believe matters as AI changes software development.
What our work kept teaching us
A business rarely experiences a problem as a neatly defined development task.
Someone needs information from a form to reach another system. A store needs functionality its existing plugins don’t provide. A team wants to stop moving the same data between tools by hand.
The first request might sound small. Understanding it often reveals a larger workflow.
Where does the information come from? Who needs it next? What happens when a service is unavailable? Can the team maintain the solution after it’s delivered?
Those questions became a bigger part of our work.
Our projects increasingly crossed the boundaries of individual plugins. We were still drawing on our Fluent ecosystem experience, but we were choosing tools and building connections around a wider set of business needs.
We wanted an identity that reflected that work honestly.
Why build this in the AI era?
We’ve asked ourselves that question, too.
AI is changing how quickly people can explore ideas, write code, and create software. Tasks that once required a long stretch of development can sometimes begin with a conversation.
We see opportunity in that.
A business owner can explain an idea more easily. A developer can investigate different approaches faster. A small team can explore something that previously felt beyond its resources.
But there is still a distance between a promising prototype and software a business can depend on.
A generated integration might work with the first test submission. It still needs to handle missing information, duplicate requests, expired credentials, and changes in the services it connects.
An e-commerce feature might look right on a product page. It still needs to behave correctly through the rest of the purchase process.
And a solution can be technically functional while solving the wrong problem.
These are the parts of development we care about: understanding the requirement, making sensible decisions, testing the result, and taking responsibility for what happens after delivery.
We believe those responsibilities become more valuable as producing code becomes easier.
How we think about AI
We want to use better tools as they become available. AI belongs in that conversation.
Our approach is to judge a tool by whether it helps us do useful work well. Speed matters, but so do accuracy, maintainability, and the ability to explain a decision.
When AI contributes to development, the responsibility for the result still belongs to the people delivering it.
We need to understand the code. We need to check its assumptions. We need to know how it behaves inside the actual website and workflow.
That is the kind of studio we want ScalarWP to be: open to new ways of building, careful about what we deliver, and accountable to the businesses using it.
Why the name ScalarWP fits
FluentWiz connected us closely to the ecosystem where we began. We value that history.
Over time, though, our work expanded into WooCommerce, broader WordPress integrations, custom workflows, and products that aren’t tied to one family of tools.
ScalarWP gives that work a shared home.
It lets us talk clearly about the services we provide and the products we’re developing, without making our starting point the boundary of everything we do.
The change also gives us room to grow deliberately. We can take on a project because we understand the problem and believe we can solve it well.
Services and products belong together
Client work gives us a close view of how businesses use their websites.
We see the manual steps between systems, the limitations people work around, and the small tasks that accumulate into hours of effort.
That experience informs our product work.
Cloud Storage Manager addresses file handling for Fluent Forms. Wishio focuses on saved-product intent and the journey back to a purchase. Each gives us a specific problem to work on and improve.
Building products also sharpens our service work. It makes us think beyond a single delivery: configuration, documentation, compatibility, updates, and support all become part of the experience.
We want both sides of ScalarWP to benefit from that exchange.
What we’ll continue doing
The Fluent ecosystem remains part of our work.
We’ll continue helping businesses build with Fluent Forms, FluentCart, FluentCRM, and related tools. The experience we developed as FluentWiz carries directly into ScalarWP.
Alongside that, we’re building a broader practice around:
- Custom WordPress development and plugin extensions.
- WooCommerce and FluentCart functionality.
- Connections between WordPress and external services.
- Data migration and workflow automation.
- Independent WordPress products.
The common thread is practical: help businesses make their tools work together and build the functionality they need.
What this means for existing clients
The same team is behind ScalarWP.
Our experience, relationships, and commitment carry forward with the new name. If you’ve worked with us as FluentWiz, you’re part of the foundation we’re building on.
You’ll see our website, products, and materials move under the ScalarWP identity. We want that identity to make our work easier to understand, while preserving the trust we’ve already earned.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to grow into this next chapter.
What we want to earn
We don’t expect a new name to establish what kind of company we are. Our work has to do that.
We want to earn trust through clear communication, thoughtful implementation, and solutions that remain useful after the initial excitement of delivery.
The AI era gives a small team more ways to explore and build. We’re excited about that freedom. We also want to be deliberate about where we use it.
There will always be another feature we could add or another product we could start. Our task is to choose problems worth solving and follow through on them.
That’s why we’re building ScalarWP in 2026.
A broader home for the work we’ve grown into. A place for the products we want to develop. And a commitment to keep learning as the way we build continues to change.
Same team. Same commitment. A bigger vision.
Welcome to ScalarWP.
